Thank God Fall is Here! Weary of the heat of summer and ready to work on a good book?
If you have something to say that you think others would appreciate reading, then you may want to think about publishing! (Vanity Press is publishing without considering the possibility of profit.)
Getting your clear point across to them is a process. Make an overview outline for yourself so you can stay on track and make sure everything is included. That can evolve as you go along, but don’t make yourself do this without a good plan. Fill in the details and think about clear language to describe everything. Working with an editor is a great idea because they can help you with story flow to hold your reader’s interest, and also help you with character development. Maybe you are not writing about characters; maybe a process that you have developed. Still, it needs to be clear and moving along well. An editor increases the value of your book.
Then think about what needs to be added to your book: illustrations, photographs, or maybe just text! But the question is, does the reader get your point or will any additions help with that? The cover design needs to be just right and compellingly, your message; so does the title and the subtitle. We love helping with all of this!
The original consideration in this post is vital to publishing. Do enough people care about what you are saying to make it profitable for you to publish? This effort is not inexpensive, but neither is it without profit if you do it well! Ask your friends, ask social media and whoever else you know and find the answer to that question. If you decide the answer is yes, contact us and we’ll help you go from there! Happy Fall!!
